Since 2001, we have been facilitating safe and exciting learn-to-surf summer camps. Our summer camp programs for kids have a student to instructor ratio of 3:1 and are staffed with certified, professional instructors educated in the marine sciences. With thousands of cumulative hours spent in safety training, surf instruction methodology and childhood development, the WB Surf Camp staff provide concierge-level care and service.
Whether your child is an absolute beginner, an intermediate surfer or ready for the pro circuit, we adapt our lessons to suit your kids’ needs, all the while fostering your campers’ interest in our coastal ecosystems!
Carolina Ocean Odyssey – Residential Camp
Carolina Ocean Odyssey is a co-ed residential summer camp for kids in 5th to 8th grade. The primary focus is to introduce campers to a variety of ocean activities while educating about our local coastal environment. Our goal is for campers to have a fun ocean experience while gaining independence and an appreciation for protecting and enjoying our earth’s oceans.
Guppy Ocean Adventure Camp -Wilmington Full Day
Our full-day Guppy Ocean Safety Adventure Camp takes place on several pristine beaches of Wilmington, North Carolina and is designed for children ages 6 to 10. During this week-long full day program, kids will learn about ocean safety, how to ride waves on boogie boards and explore the marine world through salt marsh exploration, coastal ecology activities and more!
Grom Ocean Academy - Wilmington NC Full Day
Join us for our full-day Grom Ocean Academy. This hands-on, feet-wet program is geared towards children ages 8-11 and builds on many of the lessons from Guppy Camp. Campers will practice advanced boogie boarding skills and and experience 2 half days of surfing at some of the local beach breaks. This dynamic camp blends wave riding, basic oceanography, water safety awareness, and marine education into a one-week experience.
Our Kids Surf Camp offers a 2:1 student to instructor ratio and is a great way to build confidence in children ages 7-11. This learn to surf program takes place on Wrightsville Beach and is based entirely on our proven surfing fundamentals curriculum. At summer camp, participants make new friends and develop an unforgettable, lifelong connection with the ocean.
