At The National Center for Outdoor & Adventure Education (NCOAE), our Teen Leadership Expeditions offer a summer camp experience like no other. Campers navigate the backcountry and grow while learning outdoor skills, leadership skills, and environmental sustainability on multi-day outdoor adventures that include backpacking, kayaking, rafting, and more!
NCOAE’s handcrafted outdoor and adventure education experiences promote personal growth, professional development, and stewardship in our communities and the natural environment. Our outdoor expeditions, set against the backdrop of wilderness, focus on creating profoundly empowering experiences that naturally promote critical thinking, teamwork, and the acquisition of new or improved technical outdoor skills.
Our summer camp programs for teens have an instructor to student ratio of 1:6 and are staffed with highly trained and credentialed instructors whose specialties include outdoor skills and wilderness medicine.
