The Girls Leadership Academy or Wilmington (GLOW Academy), is a tuition-free, public charter school educating young women from diverse backgrounds through middle and high school in a nurturing community with rigorous college preparatory curriculum to develop leaders who succeed in college and beyond.
GLOW Academy is North Carolina’s only all-girl public charter school. The school culture challenges students to live a balanced life that develops confidence and compassion, critical thinking, and personal responsibility.
Our STEAM Curriculum (science, technology, engineering, art and math) offers a hands-on learning focus that is integrated throughout all educational experiences. Creativity and self-expression when partnered with innovative thinking, critical thinking and problem-solving can lead to powerful, transformative learning in science, technology, engineering and math.
GLOW Academy provides transportation, breakfast, lunch, and aftercare to its students.
