Grilled Nuggets meal
Chick-fil-A recently announced that they are debuting one of America’s most nutritious kid’s meals. Over the past year, many fast food chains have updated their side items to include more healthy choices. However, Chick-fil-A’s focus is on a healthier entrée option. The chain will be offering gluten free grilled chicken nuggets making them the first National fast food chain to offer a grilled entrée on the kid’s menu.
The new nuggets are made of boneless, skinless breasts of chicken, seasoned with salt and pepper and then grilled. The grilled 4 count nuggets are only 80 calories and have 1 gram of fat, while the 6 count nuggets have 110 calories and 1.5 grams of fat.
Chick-fil-A already offers a fruit cup as a side item, but are adding Buddy Fruits® Pure Blended Fruit To Go Applesauce which is another healthy option. Each squeezable fruit pouch is gluten free, all natural and contains 100 percent pure fruit. It is 60 calories and equals one serving of fruit.
In addition to the health-conscious food options, the chain is also changing its children’s beverage line to only feature one percent milk, 100 percent apple juice, freshly squeezed lemonade and water.
