blue cheese burger
Spring and summer means more grilling outdoors. Here's a recipe for a delicious burger that is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.
Blue Cheese Burgers
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef *
- ¼ cup seasoned bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Dash of salt
- Dash of pepper
- ½ cup crumbled blue cheese**
Directions
- Combine all ingredients except the blue cheese in a large mixing bowl. Use your hands to gently combine the ingredients.
- Add the cheese to the mixture until everything is just combined.
- Divide the meat into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties.
- Grill to desired color (approximately 3-5 minutes per side).
- Place burgers on buns with favorite toppings and enjoy.
Makes 4 burgers.
*Venison is used in place of beef in our house. Ground turkey can also be used.
**Other crumbled cheese such as Feta may be used as a substitute for blue cheese.
