mom with phone
Many Moms rely on their smartphones for everything from entertaining their kids to bargain shopping. Here are five free applications that every mom should have.
- PBS Kids is a wonderful application for keeping kids entertained. It offers clips and some full length PBS shows to keep young children busy and happy.
- RedLaser is perfect for for moms trying to stay on a tight budget. It allows you to scan an item that you are considering buying and lets you know where else you can get it and the cost it would be at another location (including online and brick and mortar stores). This allows the consumer to always buy goods for the cheapest price.
- Fooducate is an app that allows users to scan a food item (with a bar code) to determine its nutritional value. Once an item is scanned, it gives you a letter grade for that product. It also lists food point values for dieters and healthier alternatives. This one is great for family's trying to lead a healthy lifestyle.
- My Chef Offline is a good tool for moms searching for easy recipes. You can search for recipes by cuisine, categories or ingredients. I find the ingredients search very helpful when I am trying to use items I already have in my pantry or refrigerator to make dinner.
- CardStar is an application that allows you to store your rewards and membership cards on your phone. This lightens the load in your wallet and allows you to remove all of those plastic tags on of your key chain.
