Inside Macaroni Grill
Romano’s Macaroni Grill, located in Mayfaire Town Center, is a good choice for family’s interested in Italian cuisine. This national chain offers a variety of Italian specialties served in a warm and inviting atmosphere.
My family decided to have lunch at Macaroni Grill on a Sunday around noon. We were seated right away and my daughter was given an activity sheet and crayons. Butcher paper is also on each table in the large dining room for children and adults to practice their artistic skills and entertain themselves as they wait for their food.
The menu we were given was the regular dinner menu as this is the menu used for evenings and weekends. There are a variety of options for a first course including soups, salads, and appetizers. The entrée options are many. They include a selection of pasta, pizza and flatbread choices to chicken, fish, steak and pork dishes. Adult entrées ranged in price from $9.50-$23. A children’s menu is available for children ages 12 and under and offers 8 different entrée items between $5 and $6. These meals also come with a drink.
Our drinks were brought out quickly and freshly-baked, warm, rosemary seasoned bread arrived at our table within minutes of our arrival. The whole family enjoyed this home-made treat as we made our final selections from the menu. My daughter chose Mac and Cheese from the kids menu. I chose Chicken Scaloppine and my husband opted for Pasta Milano with sautéed shrimp added. Our food was delivered to the table about ten minutes after we ordered. The portions were generous and the food was very tasty.
The restroom is worth a visit when dining at Macaroni Grill. When using the facilities, you can learn a few Italian words and phrases as these are being piped through the speakers in the restroom. You can’t beat learning a new word or two while visiting the gabinetto (that’s toilet in Italian).
The restaurant is fully equipped to handle family dining, including a baby changing station in the restroom. They also offer a nice alcove off of the main dining room to accommodate a large party of diners. They are open Sunday through Friday from 11am until 10pm and on Saturdays from 11am until 11pm.
Families looking for an Italian dinner in a warm, friendly atmosphere will enjoy Romano’s Macaroni Grill.
