Read to a Dog

Children ages 5–11 years old can practice reading aloud to a certified listening therapy team. Improve your reading skills and confidence in a comfortable and fun environment with a trained reading therapy dog and their human companion. Appointments are made for 15-minute lengths of time. Pre-registration is required. Register on the Read to a Dog Calendar or call 910-798-6373. Reading will take place in the children's area near the paperback section. Be sure to check in at the children's desk when you arrive.
