Surfer Girls to Rule the Waves

Surfer girls will rule the waves on August 20-21 when nearly 200 wahines of all ages compete in the 15th Annual East Coast Wahine Championship at Wrightsville Beach. This year the competition moves north to the Columbia Street beach access due to its proximity to a popular surf break and to a number of businesses, restaurants and amenities in the heart of Wrightsville Beach. All eyes will be on the surf action at the Columbia Street (C-Street) break when the East Coast’s largest all-female surfing competition gets underway, beginning at 8:00 AM and until 5:00 PM each day.
