Participate in the Wilmington Walk With Me

What: An event for people of all abilities. Walk, run or roll around the beautiful Hugh MacRaePark to benefit Easter Seals UCP North Carolina! Each participant will walk on behalf of one of our 2012 Honorary Ambassadors: children and adults with disabilities who have directly benefited from Easter Seals UCP programs and services in the greater Wilmington area!

  • Where: Hugh MacRae Park – Wilmington, NC

Walkers set their own pace and walk – or roll – the distance they feel comfortable. It is a noncompetitive event for people of all abilities and fitness levels. Each lap is 1.5 miles.

Who: Hundreds of Easter Seals UCP supporters including individuals and families we serve, local business leaders, friends, neighbors and colleagues.

Where the money goes: Money raised will benefit Easter Seals UCP programs and services in the greater Wilmington area including preschool, developmental education and therapy, residential services, supported employment and training, respite care, foster care services, family support and more. When you give to Easter Seals UCP North Carolina, $0.91 of every dollar is used to provide direct services for children and adults with disabilities.

How it works: Teams and individuals collect money through a personal on-line fundraising website or through other fundraising activities.

How to get involved: By supporting the Wilmington Walk With Me, not only is your business raising much needed funds for local individuals and families in need of services; you are also displaying your dedication to making our communities healthy and strong to hundreds of local community members! Businesses are encouraged to support the Walk at one of our sponsorship levels and to put together a corporate team to participate in the fun!

Deadlines: Deadline for sponsorship inclusion on t-shirt is September 14, 2012. Fundraising can continue until walk day.
