OOlogy Week CFM
Need something for kids to do while on holiday break from school? Bring them to Cape Fear Museum to become an “ologist!” Explore the science behind cool topics with fun hands-on activities and experiments. Activities offered each day the week of December 27, 2015.
- Star-ology, Sunday, December 27 (1:30 PM, 2:15 PM, 3 PM, 3:45 PM) Explore the arctic night and the mystery of Aurora borealis. Planetarium space is limited.
- Dino-ology, Monday, December 28 (Anytime 11 AM-2 PM) Dinosaurs big and small, come explore them all!
- Gross-ology, Tuesday, December 29 (Anytime 11 AM-2 PM) Experience the icky, slimy, and smelly world around us.
- Volt-ology, Wednesday, December 30 (Anytime 11 AM-2 PM) Light up your holidays with exciting connections.
- Frozen-ology, Thursday, December 31 (Anytime 11 AM-2 PM) Investigate a frozen world with these seasonal experiments.
Friday, January 1: Museum closed – Happy New Year!
Appropriate for ages five and up. Free for members or with Museum admission. Parental participation is required.
Cape Fear Museum of History and Science is a department of New Hanover County located at814 Market Street. The Museum is open Tuesday -Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday 1 to 5 p.m. General admission is free to all museum members. For non-members, general admission is $8 for adults; $7 for seniors, students and military with valid ID; $5 for children 6-17; and free for children 5 and under.
