The Althea Gibson Tennis Complex at Empie Park hosts tennis clinics for children ages 4-9. Pre-registration for these clinics is required. Call 341-4631 to register.
LITTLE ACES
Ages: 4-6
Session 1: Sept: 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, & 26
Session 2: October: 3, 5, 10, 12, 17 & 19
Session 3: Oct 31, November 2, 7, 9, 14 & 16
3:45 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Cost: $40 for 6 clinics
Clinics will focus on the introduction of basic strokes such as forehands, backhands, volleys and overheads.
SUPER ACES
Ages: 7-9
Session 1: Sept: 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, & 26
Session 2: October: 3, 5, 10, 12, 17 & 19
Session 3: Oct 31, November 2, 7, 9, 14 & 16
4:30 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.
Cost: $40 for 6 clinics
General stroke mechanics will be reinforced with an introduction to Quick Start score keeping , games and some match play. This clinic will get your kids ready for Quick Start tournaments.
