Savvy-bogo
The BOGO Secret you should know
This week, as I shopped at my local Harris Teeter, I was picking up a box of doughnuts that was on a sale for buy one get one free. Another lady standing at the doughnuts saw that I only took one box of these tasty treats and asked me if I would get half off of one item. “Yes” I told her “when you just buy one, you get it for half price”. So, I realized that not everyone is aware of the BOGO (buy one, get one) policies. I thought this would be a great topic to begin our journey in savings!
Here’s the scoop:
For all major chains in the Wilmington area (Harris Teeter, Lowes Foods, and Food Lion) the BOGO deal means that each item will ring up at half price. You do NOT have to buy two items to take advantage of this offer for the previously named stores. The Fresh Market BOGO deals follow the same rule and it also applies when the sale says by 2 for $. Each item will ring up at half of the dollar amount listed.
These chains also allow you to use coupons on top of these sales which gives you a chance to save even more.
