We all have a moment in our lives when we look at our surroundings, lifestyle choices or other situations and decide something has to give. It took me about 50 pounds of weight gain for me to realize that the smaller ‘bad’ choices that I had made over the course of a few years added up to some massive weight gain.
I didn’t think there was a lot of importance in eating breakfast as a way to start off my day. I would just grab a cup of coffee and be out the door. But as I exercised more, I discovered that I was not getting enough calories to sustain a full workout. I started eating 5 balanced meals (40% carbs, 30% protein and 30% fats) totaling 1800 daily calories and that is when I started to see major results.
