As an environmentally conscious parent, I am always on the lookout for affordable green products for my family and household. I was excited to discover The Honest Company, a web-based company that delivers such products to your door.
The Honest Company was started by actress Jessica Alba and Christopher Gavigan, author of Health Child, Healthy World. The two were frustrated with the search for healthy products for their children and homes and decided to come together to form a company. This company became The Honest Company and provides healthy, sustainable products to families across the country.
Honest products range from eco-friendly disposable diapers and a variety of other baby product to personal care and home cleaning products. I had the opportunity to test out a few products and I was impressed with each of them. My favorite (and the favorite of my 5 year old) was the bubble bath. The solution is made of ingredients that are natural, hypo-allergenic, tear-free, non-toxic, vegan, biodegradable and pH balanced. The light tangerine scent is lovely and is naturally derived. One tablespoon of the bubble bath solution makes for a tub full of fluffy bubbles that last throughout the entire bath.
Compared to other environmentally friendly products, the Honest products are quite affordable. From the website, customers can order single items for full price or create a bundle of items for significant savings. When choosing to order a bundle, the order will default to be delivered every month. However, customers can adjust bundle delivery dates or the contents of their bundle and can cancel the bundle shipments at any time. Shipping is free with orders of $50 or more.
