Ecolution cookware
Non-stick cookware is great to cook with and even better when it comes to cleaning. However, in recent years, there has been some concern about the coatings on this cookware flaking off or emitting potentially hazardous fumes when heated to high temperatures. A chemical used often in non-stick pans is perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA). This chemical and the family of other perfluorinated compounds have been linked to cancer and birth defects in studies with laboratory animals and might pose a risk in humans according to Consumer Reports.
Ecolution offers several lines of non-stick cookware that do not contain PFOA. The coating that they have developed and use on their cookware is called Hydrolon and is applied with a water-based applicaton system. This non-toxic coating is a safer solution for healthy and eco-friendly cooking.
In addition to being a safer cookware, the Ecolution pans also offer several other nice features. They are made of pure aluminum which conducts heat evenly throughout the pans making for a great cooking surface. They also have soft, silicone handles that don't get hot so there is no need to grab a pot holder when grabbing the handle of the pans. The non-stick coating allows for easy clean-up and the cookware is dishwasher safe.
The Ecolution frying pan has become my "go-to" pan whenever I am sauteing or frying something! You can find Ecolution lines at many retailers such as Target and Kohls and also online at Amazon. For more information about the cookware and the company, visit http://www.ecolutionhome.com
