necklace
Browsing through the news feed on Facebook, I found that I kept seeing my friends share a status from a company called Designed to Shine. They always seemed to be posting give-a-ways of really cute jewelry.
I decided to check out the Designed to Shine website linked to their Facebook page and found it was an Etsy shop full of fashionable jewelry that is reasonably priced. I also discovered that the artist, Hilary Brady, is based in Leland, NC. According to her Facebook page, her business began in 2012 after friends convinced her to extend her jewelry-making to times of the year beyond Christmas. She and her husband decided to leave their jobs and begin making jewelry full time. Their business has taken off and they now have customers around the world.
Hilary was kind enough to send me an acrylic monogram necklace to review. The quality of the necklace is fantastic and it is truly a one-of-a-kind piece because I was able to select the color and design. The first day that I wore the necklace, I had compliments on it everywhere I went. My fifth grade students loved it and many of the staff members I work with agreed that the necklace was beautiful. After work, I had to run some errands and people that I didn't even know told me how nice they thought the necklace was.
In addition to being fashionable, Brady designs jewelry with purpose. Many pieces are designed to commemorate life's moments such as the birth of a child, friendship, even memorials to a dearly departed loved one. Many pieces are customizable to make sure that clients get exactly what they are looking for.
Check out the entire collection online at their Etsy shop and like them on Facebook to find out about jewelry give-a-ways.
